LOGGING

DIAGRAPHIE

THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH IS TO DEVELOP A TYPE OF LOGGING EQUIPMENT WHICH WOULD ENHANCE THE VALUE OF DESTRUCTIVE EXPLORATORY BORING. THE RESEARCH ALSO AIMS AT ESTABLISHING TECHNIQUES OF UTILIZATION FOR DIFFERENT PROBES. AT THE PRESENT TIME THE BASIC PART OF THE EQUIPMENT (NATURAL RADIOACTIVITY AND LATEROLOG PROBES) HAS BEEN DEVELOPED, AND TESTS WITH GAMMA-GAMMA PROBES AND NEUTRON-NEUTRON PROBES HAVE BEEN STARTED. IN 1976, IT IS ENVISAGED TO CONTINUE THESE TESTS WITH A VIEW TO OBTAINING RESULTS AS REGARDS THEIR CONDITIONS OF USE. EXPERIMENTS WILL ALSO BE CONDUCTED WITH THE WET-HOLE CONTINUOUS SONIC PROBE, BUILT IN 1975, AND DRY-HOLE CONTINUOUS SONIC PROBES AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING THE DIAMETER WILL BE CONSTRUCTED. MEASUREMENTS OF ACCELERATION ON THE HAMMER WILL BE CONTINUED.
