MULTISPAN SUSPENSION BRIDGES UNDER LATERAL LOADS
AN EXACT METHOD IS PRESENTED FOR ANALYZING MULTISPAN SUSPENSION BRIDGES TAKING THE INTERACTION OF CONSECUTIVE SPANS INTO CONSIDERATION. HOWEVER, IF TOWER DEFLECTIONS ARE PROPERLY ASSUMED, EACH SPAN CAN BE ANALYZED SEPARATELY. A SIMPLE FORMULA IS GIVEN THAT RENDERS SUFFICIENTLY ACCURATE TOWER DEFLECTIONS.
