THE THESIS PRESENTS DETAILED SOLUTIONS TO PROBLEMS OF SIMULATING THE VERTICAL VIBRATION OF VEHICLES. COMPREHENSIVE COMPARATIVE DYNAMIC EXPERIMENTS WERE CARRIED OUT TO ASSESS THE USE OF VIBRATION MODELS. FIVE DIGITAL SIMULATION MODELS FOR VERTICAL VEHICLE VIBRATIONS WERE DEVELOPED AND EXAMINED. A THREE DIMENSIONAL MODEL WHICH WAS DEVELOPED FROM THIS EXHIBITED VERY GOOD AGREEMENT WITH THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE REAL VEHICLE. IT SHOWED THAT A COMPROMISE MUST BE MADE BETWEEN DRIVING COMFORT, DRIVING SAFETY AND HARMONY WITH ROAD CONDITIONS.
