PLASTICS IN MARINE CORROSION CONTROL
Examples are given of the use of plastics to prevent corrosion in marine environment, including - fiber glass reinforced polyester to protect the splash zone of an oil drilling rig; glass-reinforced polyester for hulls and submarine superstructure casings; and various plastics for bearings, ventilation cowls, fenders, pipes, etc.
