STRESS ON DRIVERS IN RELATION TO ROAD TRAFFIC CONDITIONS AND PERSONALITY

BEANSPRUCHUNG DES KRAFTFAHRERS IN ABHAENGIGKEIT VON STRASSENVERKEHRSBEDINGUNGEN UND PERSOENLICHKEITSMERKMALEN

AN INSTRUMENTED MEASURING VEHICLE IS BEING USED IN THIS FIELD STUDY. OBJECTIVES: (1) TO MAKE A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF OBJECTIVE LOADING (INFORMATION PERCEPTION AND PROCESSING), QUASI-OBJECTIVE LOADING (EXPERT RATING BY MEANS OF VIDEO RECORDINGS), SUBJECTIVELY EXPERIENCED STRESS (VARIOUS RATING SCALES), AND PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS (ECG, EMG, PGR). (2) ANALYSIS OF DRIVER BEHAVIOUR (EFFECTS OF LENGTH OF JOURNEY, THE ROAD, FATIGUE, ETC). (3) PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS (REDUCTION IN COGNITIVE PERFORMANCE AS A RESULT OF STRESS CAUSED BY DRIVING).
