THE AUTHORS PRESENT A METHOD OF FILLING UP CRACKS IN THE WEARING COURSES OF PAVEMENTS COMPRISING A ROADBASE STABILIZED WITH HYDRAULIC BINDERS. THE PRINCIPLE OF THE METHOD CONSISTS IN (1) SPREADING A HOT PRODUCT WHICH RETAINS A HIGH ADHESION AND EXTENSION PROPERTY WHILE INSURING BRIDGING OF THE CRACK AND OFFERING ONLY A LIMITED PENETRATION TO FROST INSIDE THE WALLS OF THE CRACK; (2) LEVELLING THE SURFACE OF THE PRODUCT TO LIMIT ITS THICKNESS; (3) SANDING WITH A GIVEN MATERIAL TO PREVENT STICKING TO TYRES AND TO MAINTAIN ROUGHNESS. DETAILS ARE GIVEN OF THE EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, LAYING TECHNIQUE, FIRST RESULTS, FIELDS OF USE AND EFFICIENCY.
