AIRFIELD PAVEMENT EVALUATION
AIRFIELD PAVEMENTS WERE EVALUATED TO DETERMINE IF THEY CAN WITHSTAND THE TRAFFIC OF SPECIFIC AIRCRAFT. FOR BITUMINOUS PAVEMENTS THE CALIFORNIA BEARING RATIO TEST WAS PERFORMED ON UNDISTURBED SAMPLES OF THE SUBGRADE AND BASE. EXTRACTION, GRADATION, AND DENSITY TESTS WERE MADE ON THE SURFACE COURSE. FLEXURAL STRENGTH DETERMINATIONS AND PLATE BEARING TESTS WERE ALSO MADE. SIEVE ANALYSES, DENSITIES, AND MOISTURE CONTENTS OF THE SUBGRADE AND BASE MATERIALS WERE DETERMINED. /AUTHOR/
