INFORMATION WAS DERIVED FROM A GENERAL PAVEMENT SURVEY CARRIED OUT FOR DETERMINING THE INFLUENCE OF SUBBASE, SUBGRADE, DRAINAGE, REINFORCEMENT, AND PAVEMENT CROSS-SECTION. THE GENERAL CONCLUSION IS THAT REINFORCEMENT REDUCED THE NUMBER AND WIDTH OF CRACKS. STEEL WAS USED ONLY IN SECTIONS ON QUESTIONABLE SUBGRADE.
