TRAFFIC TEST ON STABILIZED SHOULDER AND ON UNSTABILIZED TURF

TESTS WERE RUN AT FOUR SITES, TWO BEING BARE COMPACT SHOULDERS AND TWO OTHERS SOD BACKSLOPES, AFTER TWO NIGHTS AND A DAY OF RAIN. THE HIGH DENSITY AND LOW FIELD MOISTURE CONTENT OF THE COMPACT SHOULDERS MADE THEM MORE EFFECTIVE THAN THE SODDED ONES.
