THE TECHNIQUE AND USE OF THE HIGH-POTENCY COMPOUND 3-(-P-CHLORPHENYL)-, 1-DIMETHYLUREA (TRADE NAME: TELVAR-W) FOR SEASON-LONG WEED CONTROL ALONG THE MEDIANS OF THE NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE ARE DESCRIBED. THE ADVANTAGES OF USE PROVED TO BE SO GREAT THAT USE FOR OTHER VEGETATION CONTROL PURPOSES IS BEING PLANNED FOR THE 1955 SEASON.
