INTERACTIVE COMPUTER GRAPHICS IN TRANSPORTATION

THIS PAPER CONSIDERS THE POTENTIAL ROLE OF INTERACTIVE GRAPHICS IN TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS ANALYSIS. THE GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS AND BENEFITS OF INTERACTIVE GRAPHICS SYSTEMS ARE EXPLORED, AND A SURVEY OF EXISTING SYSTEMS IS PRESENTED. IN PARTICULAR, APPLICATIONS IN THE TRANSPORTATION AND PLANNING FIELDS ARE REVIEWED, AND CONCLUSIONS ON THE USE OF INTERACTIVE GRAPHICS SYSTEMS FOR TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS ANALYSIS ARE PRESENTED. /AUTHOR/
