FIVE TESTS TO STUDY DEFORMATIONS IN THE SHOW REGION OF A REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAM /IN GERMAN/
NUMEROUS STRAIN MEASUREMENTS WERE TAKEN ON 5 REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS OF RECTANGULAR CROSS-SECTION. THE SPECIMENS WERE STIRRUP-REINFORCED AND HAD CONTINUOUS LONGITUDINAL REINFORCEMENT. THUS THE DISTRIBUTION OF STRESSES IN THE SHEAR REGION COULD BE INVESTIGATED. ALL BEAMS HAD EQUAL DIMENSIONS, CROSS-SECTION OF THE LONGITUDINAL REINFORCEMENT AND CONCRETE QUALITY, RESPECTIVELY. THEY DIFFERED MAINLY IN THE TYPE OF STIRRUP REINFORCEMENT SINCE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN STIRRUPS WAS VARIED FROM 14 CM TO 79 CM. FOR 4 BEAMS DEFORMED BARS WERE USED, ONE BEAM CONTAINED PLAIN ROUND BARS. THE BEHAVIOR UNDER LOAD, THE SHEAR BEARING CAPACITY AND THE CRACKING OF THE BEAM WERE ASCERTAINED BY STRAIN MEASUREMENTS. /RRL/
