THE EDGE REINFORCED CANTILEVER PLATE STRIP
A CANTILEVER PLATE STRIP IS REINFORCED BY A BEAM BONDED TO ITS FREE EDGE; THE OPPOSITE (PARALLEL) EDGE IS RIGIDLY CLAMPED. THE BEAM IS ACTED UPON BY A TRANSVERSE CONCENTRATED LOAD. DEFLECTIONS AND STRESSES ARE THEN DETERMINED WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO BEAM/PLATE STIFFNESS RATIOS IN BENDING AND TORSION. /AUTHOR/
