A STATIONARY PLANT FOR CONTROLLING QUALITY IN CONCRETE BY NON-DESTRUCTIVE METHODS (IN RUSSIAN)

THE STRENGTH, DEFORMATION CAPACITY (CRACKING), BULK DENSITY, POISSON'S RATIO, MODULI OF DYNAMIC ELASTICITY AND SHEAR OR PRECAST ELEMENTS ARE EVALUATED BY SONIC AND RADIO METRIC NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING. CONSTRUCTIONAL DETAILS OF THE INSTALLATION ARE GIVEN. CALIBRATION GRAPHS ARE USED TO ASSESS THE QUALITY OF THE MATERIAL TESTED, AND THE MEASUREMENTS OBTAINED FACILITATE THE DETECTION OF DEFECTS IN THE CONCRETE. THE DEGREE OF HOMOGENEITY IS DETERMINED ACCORDING TO THE VARIATIONS IN THE SPEED OF THE PROPAGATION OF WAVES. EQUATIONS EXPRESSING THE COEFFICIENT OF VARIABILITY IN CONCRETE STRENGTH AND HOMOGENEITY ARE GIVEN. CONTINUOUS CONTROL RESULTING IN IMPROVED QUALITY IN CONCRETE IS MADE POSSIBLE BY THE AUTOMATION OF THE INSTALLATION. /LCPC/RRL/
