THE WIDTH OF THE GUNTERT-ZIMMERMAN MACHINE WAS CHANGED TO PAVE BOTH 24- AND 35-FT WIDE ROADWAYS. POLYETHYLENE STRIP WAS USED FOR ALL LONGITUDINAL JOINTS, IN ONE TEST SECTION IT WAS UNSUCCESSFULLY USED FOR THE SKEWED, TRANSVERSE CONTRACTION JOINT.
