NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF THE CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF EITHER THE CEMENT OR THE AGGREGATE IS REQUIRED. THE SUGGESTED METHOD INVOLVES AN EXTRACTION OF THE CONCRETE SAMPLE WITH A METHANOLIC SOLUTION OF MALEIC ACID.
