THE SPECIFICATION REQUIRES THE USE OF MOIST BURLAP COVERS FOR THE FIRST 24 HR., AFTER WHICH THE PAVEMENT IS COVERED WITH WET EARTH TO A MINIMUM DEPTH OF 4 INCHES. THE WET EARTH MUST BE LEFT IN PLACE FOR A MINIMUM OF 10 DAYS WHILE ALL TRAFFIC IS EXCLUDED FOR A PERIOD OF 30 DAYS. COTTON MATS CAN BE USED IN LIEU OF WET EARTH. THIS CURING SYSTEM PRECLUDES THE USE OF MEMBRANES, EITHER BITUMINOUS, NONBITUMINOUS, CLEAR, OR PIGMENTED.
