FILLING-HEIGHT INDICATIONS AND LEVEL CHECKS IN CEMENT AND LIME-WORKS
IN CEMENT AND LIME MANUFACTURE, CONTINUOUS AND LIMIT LEVEL MEASUREMENTS AT MANY POINTS IN THE PROCESS AND IN THE STORAGE, PACKING AND DESPATCH OPERATIONS ARE NEEDED FOR AUTOMATION AND RATIONALISATION. ELECTRONIC MEASURING METHODS - IN PARTICULAR, THE CAPACITIVE AND THE RADIOACTIVE METHODS - AND ELECTROMECHNICAL PROBING TECHNIQUES ARE DESCRIBED, THESE BEING METHODS THAT ARE COMING INTO INCREASINGLY WIDESPREAD USE.
