THE USE OF ASH FROM POWER PLANTS AS A HYDRAULIC BINDER /IN RUSSIAN/
RESULTS ARE GIVEN OF RESEARCH ON THE HYDRAULIC ACTIVITY OF CEMENT CONTAINING CLINKER AND ASH. TESTS ON CEMENT CONTAINING ASH AND CEMENT CONTAINING SLAG AND SAND HAVE SHOWN THAT ASH IS LESS ACTIVE ADMIXTURE THAN SLAG: IT IS ONLY ACTIVE IN THE 28 DAYS OF HARDENING. IF ONLY 5 TO 10 PERCENT OF ASH IS USED AS ADMIXTURE, THE CEMENT CATEGORY IS NOT CHANGED. ABOVE 10 PERCENT, THE STRENGTH OF CEMENT DECREASES. /LCPC/RRL/
