APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATIC AND SIMULTANEOUS MEASUREMENT OF THE PENETRATION RESISTANCE AND TEMPERATURE REACHED IN CEMENT PASTES DURING HYDRATION (IN FRENCH)

THE AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT OF THE PENETRATION RESISTANCE IS BASED ON THE TRANSFORMATION INTO ELECTRICAL VARIATION OF THE MECHANICAL STRESS NECESSARY TO PRESS A CALIBRATED NEEDLE INTO THE CEMENT PASTE. THIS ELECTRICAL VARIATION MAY BE RECORDED. THE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT OF THE PASTE IS CARRIED OUT BY MEANS OF THERMOCOUPLES WHICH ARE INTRODUCED IN IT. DURING MEASUREMENTS, CEMENT PASTES MAY BE MAINTAINED EITHER IN ISOTHERMAL, ADIABATIC, OR STILL SEMI-ADIABATIC CONDITIONS. THE APPARATUS ENABLES MEASUREMENTS TO BE CARRIED OUT SIMULATNEOUSLY ON SIX PAXTES, EITHER ALMOST CONTINUOUSLY (20 SECONDS INTERVALS), EITHER DISCONTINUOUSLY AND IN THE LATTER CASE TO MEASURE PHENOMENONS WHICH FOR THE PENETRATION RESISTANCE MAY LAST FOR 80 DAYS, AND FOR TEMPERATURES 7 DAYS. IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO CARRY OUT THE MEASUREMENT OF THE PENETRATION RESISTANCE IN A PERFECTLY CONTINUOUS WAY ON ONE PASTE ONLY. /LCPC/A/RRL/
