THE ACCURACY OF THE COMPLEXOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF CLINKER AND CEMENT
THE ACCURACY OF THE COMPLEXOMETRIC TITRATIONS OF CALCIUM OXIDE, MAGNESIUM OXIDE, ALUMINUM OXIDE, AND FERROUS OXIDE WAS CHECKED BY MEANS OF A SERIES OF TEST ANALYSES, AND IT WAS FOUND THAT, UNDER OTHERWISE EQUAL CONDITIONS, THEY ARE AT LEAST AS ACCURATE AS GRAVIMETRIC DETERMINATIONS. YET THE COMPLEXOMETRIC METHOD IS STILL OFTEN REGARDED AS INACCURATE. THE AUTHORS HAVE ENDEAVOURED TO ASCERTAIN THE PROBABLE CAUSES OF THIS MISCONCEPTION, AND IN THIS CONNECTION THEY MORE PARTICULARLY CALL ATTENTION TO A WIDELY OCCURRING SYSTEMATIC ERROR IN THE CALCIUM OXIDE DETERMINATION. /AUTHOR/
