FACTORS INFLUENCING CESSATION OF HYDRATION IN WATER CURED CEMENT PASTES

FACTORS INFLUENCING CESSATION OF HYDRATION IN CONTINOUSLY WATER CURED CEMENT PASTES ARE DISCUSSED. NEW EXPERIMENTAL DATA AND PREVIOUS DATA ARE PRESENTED AND ANALYZED. EMPIRICAL EQUATIONS ARE DERIVED FOR PREDICTING THE END-POINT OF HYDRATION. IMPLICATIONS OF LIMITING HYDRATION ON THE RELATION BETWEEN STRENGTH AND GEL-SPACE RATIO ARE CONSIDERED.
