COMPLEX METHODS OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTS OF CONCRETE IN CONSTRUCTION AND STRUCTURAL WORKS

AN ANALYSIS OF NON-DESTRUCTIVE METHODS OF TESTING CONCRETE IS MADE WHERE THE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH IS RELATED, FOR EXAMPLE, TO IMPULSE PROPOGATION VELOCITY, FREQUENCY OF FREE VIBRATIONS, DENSITY OF CONCRETE, HARDNESS, TENSILE STRENGTH ETC., DEPENDING ON THE METHOD USED, AND THERE ARE FOUND TO BE CONSIDERABLE INHERENT ERRORS. THE ARTICLE SUGGESTS METHODS FOR THE SELECTION OF COMPLEX TESTS, AND THEIR CLASSIFICATION, AND FORMULAS FOR CALCULATING THE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE OBTAINED BY SEVERAL METHODS. /RRL/
