ASPHALT CONTENT STUDIES BY THE NUCLEAR METHOD /ABRIDGEMENT/

THE FEASIBILITY OF ASPHALT CONTENT DETERMINATION BY NEUTRON-THERMALIZATION TECHNIQUES WAS STUDIED. IT IS CONCLUDED THAT THE NUCLEAR METHOD OF DETERMINING ASPHALT CONTENT BY NEUTRON MODERATION APPEARS AS RELIABLE AS THE STANDARD EXTRACTION PROCESS FOR THE GAGE USED AND THE SAMPLES STUDIED. SPECIFIC ADVANTAGES AND LIMITATIONS ARE DISCUSSED.
