BITUMEN QUALITY CAN BE NOTICEABLY AFFECTED, BETWEEN THE TIME OF ITS MANUFACTURE AND ITS USE, IF IT IS LOADED INTO OR INLOADED FROM TANKS OR CONTAINERS AT EXCESSIVELY HIGH TEMPERATURES. DURING HEATING AND THE INTRODUCTION OF ADMIXTURES CERTAIN SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE ADHERED TO, AND THESE MUST BE TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT DURING PREPARATION OF THE MIXTURE AND TRANSPORTATION TO THE CONSTRUCTION SITE. BLISTERING, SHRINKAGE AND CRACKING CAN BE AVOIDED ONLY IN THIS WAY. PLACEMENT TEMPERATURES ARE TO BE OBSERVED. FG/RRL/
