THE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF SULFUR-IMPREGNATED CONCRETE (SIC) WITH 8.4 PERCENT SULFUR BY WEIGHT IS 174 MN/M SQ (25,300 PSI). DUE TO THE LARGE SURPLUS OF SULFUR AND THE LOW PRICE, SIC MIGHT BE A USEFUL ALTERNATIVE TO POLYMER-IMPREGNATED CONCRETE.
