MAC protocol for vehicle -to-vehicle communications
As a low-latency vehicle-to-vehicle (v2v) communication for safe driving, a new MAC (Media Access Control) protocol is proposed. Using a computer simulation based on the model of a real road environment, the MAC based on "Slot synchronized CSMA" had a low-latency performance of less than 100msec for more than 100 vehicles. An onboard unit (OBU) for wireless communication introducing the MAC protocol is also presented. For the covering abstract see ITRD E140665.
