Flexing the Link between Transport and Greenhouse Gas Emissions - A Path for the World Bank
This paper presents a summary of a conceptual project to confront the issue of reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from transportation. The project focuses on how the World Bank, through its lending practices, analytical capabilities, and policy influence, could contribute to significant mitigation in client countries and elsewhere. The goal is to develop the first steps of a World Bank strategy for restraining GHG emissions from transportation.
