LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE FOR ITS IN ROMANIA

This paper provides a perspective on the Communication Infrastructure approach for the ITS projects developed in Romania as an EU accession country. The implementation in the last period of dedicated communication systems, both in the public and the private sector, created a background for easier development of ITS systems. Using this communication infrastructure the new ITS projects could focus on specific ITS issues. How new systems and technologies will modify the way of designing and implementing new ITS projects is described. For the covering abstract see ITRD E134653.
