Transit New Zealand's specification for audio tactile profiled roadmarkings
Transit New Zealand holds an integral role in the provision and advancement of New Zealand's transport system through developing specifications, primarily for application on its own roads but also with awareness that the specifications may be used by other roading authorities. One recent contribution has been the specification for audio tactile profiled (ATP) roadmarkings. This paper describes some of the evolution of New Zealand's inaugural ATP roadmarkings specification and highlights significant aspects of the resulting document.
