The Evolution of “Toyota Telematics G-Book” The Latest Automotive Telematics and Multi-Media Service System in Japan
“G-BOOK” is one of the world’s most advanced information services, integrating vehicles and IT. Toyota commercialized the G-BOOK in October 2002, and it has been used in Japan ever since. Undergoing a model change in May 2005, services unique to cars were enhanced, in addition to further functional advances. This paper will outline the new services and applications provided in the latest G-BOOK, as well as the supporting technology.
