EUROPEAN NEW CAR ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME (EURONCAP) - ASSESSMENT PROTOCOL AND BIOMECHANICAL LIMITS
This protocol was developed jointly by TRL and Vehicle Safety Consultants Ltd under contract to the UK Department of the Environment Transport and the Regions and International Testing respectively. The EuroNCAP principles are laid out. Frontal impact assessment criteria and limit values, frontal impact modifiers, side impact assessment criteria and limit values, side impact modifiers, pedestrian impact assessment criteria and limit values, visual presentation of test results, overall assessments, concepts behind the assessments, and child dummy assessment criteria and limit values are described. Appendix 1 provides graphical limits for cumulative exceedance parameters.
