EMBEDDED RAIL IN URBAN AREAS

INGEGOTEN SPOOR IN STEDELIJK GEBIED

Since June 2000, tram line 6 in a section of the Hobbemastraat in The Hague has been using a track that has been laid with the help of a number of innovative techniques. In the past few years, the CROW Embedded Rail working group has gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in the area of embedded rail. Subsequently, the CROW 'ProVEIS' working group applied and tested the results in this project. The information from both groups has been included in the CROW report 'Recommendations and Guidelines for the Application of Embedded Rail Track Constructions' (RAGERS), abbreviated in Dutch to ARTIS.
