TIME, EFFECTIVENESS AND QUALITY: MANAGEMENT IN A DISTANCE WORKING ORGANISATION
TID, EFFEKTIVITET OCH KVALITET. STYRNINGSFRAAGOR I EN DISTANSARBETANDE ORGANISATION
The aim of the survey has been to investigate whether the semi-virtual organisation creates a working environment that influences the mind of the individual in relation to time, effectiveness and quality. The method of the survey was a questionnaire distributed in an organisation using distance working. The answers from the distance workers were compared to those that did not apply distance working in the organisation. The response rate was 80 per cent. A statistical analysis including ANOVA tests indicated significant differences in correspondence to working autonomy, ability to formulate individual goals, perceived security and confidence to mention a few. Furthermore, the two groups display a different mental image of the same work factor. (A)
