Presentations made at the conference, by representatives of safety research organisations, police, fleet operators and trade unions, considered the problem of driver fatigue and its effect on road safety generally. The presentations are intended to raise awareness of the phenomenon of driver fatigue and to consider how the danger can be overcome for private and fleet drivers as well as the road transport industry generally.
