REAL TIME FLOW ESTIMATION USING TMERT
ITS deployments rely heavily on data collection in real-time. However, the cost of collecting real-time, on-line data has limited the ability to implement many innovations. UTL is examining how TMERT inference of unknown traffic flow information can support Adaptive Signal Control systems more effectively than using a complete set of detectors. UTL is testing the difference in performance using SCOOT. (A)
