VEHICLE PARKING DEMAND FOR DIFFERENT LAND USES IN JORDAN

In Jordan over the last two decades, modern hotels, hospitals, large shopping centers, residential buildings, restaurants and office buildings were constructed. These land uses must provide sufficient off-street parking facilities; otherwise, problems associated with on-street parking will get worse, particularly in central business areas and along congested arterials. This paper develops a statistical model for estimating vehicle parking demand of these various land uses.
