COMMUTER CONNECTIONS GUARANTEED RIDE HOME APPLICANT SURVEY REPORT
This report presents the results of a survey (GRH survey) of 1,000 commuters who currently participate or who have participated in the past in the regional Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) Program operated by the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments. Commuter Connection introduced the GRH Program in 1997 to eliminate one barrier to using alternative modes, commuters' fear of being without transportation in the case of an emergency. The program provides up to four free rides home per year in a taxi or rental car in the event of an unexpected personal emergency or unscheduled overtime.
