A STUDY OF OPTICAL FIBER DISTRIBUTED TEMPERATURE SENSOR APPLICATION FOR TUNNEL FIRE
The Metropolitan Expressway incorporates many tunnel sections and due to its city location, the amount of traffic is great. Rapid fire detection is essential to ensure user safety. Optical fiber distributed temperature sensor is useful for early fire detection and also provides helpful information for early fire extinguishing and evacuation procedures. The laying method of optical sensing fiber and its employing method were examined, and a design for its application method in a tunnel proposed. (A*) For the covering abstract see ITRD E110327.
