TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN MAIHAMA AREA, URAYASU CITY

Major leisure facilities in Japan, located in Urayasu area, Chiba Prefecture, are factors causing intense traffic congestion at night to surrounding roads because of vehicles of visitors on their way home. This paper would introduce a system that ensures smooth traffic by taking various measures, including signal control and route guidance for those vehicles in order to disperse the concentrated traffic, based on information exchange that is necessary for both the traffic operator and the operator of the facilities.
