2000-2001 CALIFORNIA STATEWIDE HOUSEHOLD TRAVEL SURVEY
This report presents socioeconomic and travel characteristics from the 2000-2001 California Statewide Household Travel Survey, documenting the design, implementation, and results of the survey. The purpose of the study was to update the statewide database of household socioeconomic and travel information. The survey also represents the first large-scale Global Positioning System (GPS)-enhanced travel survey of its kind. Weights were applied to bring the surveyed households into proportion to the distribution of households, by county, according to the 2000 Census.
