EXPERIMENT OF ADVANCED TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION AIMING AT EQUALIZATION OF ROAD USAGE IN TOYOTA CITY

From October to November 1999 Toyota city implemented a series of experiments in order to acquire higher selectivity of time, methods and routes, and to equalize road usage. These experiments were held by means of utilizing Internet and cable TV. Besides, by utilizing this system mentioned above, the city carried out an experiment to promote the usage of Park and Ride system. This paper shows concrete contents and evaluations of these two kinds of experiments
