PREDICTION MODEL IN THE SWEDISH PMS
In the Swedish PMS (programming level) new prediction models for rut depth and roughness has been implemented. Since 1987, the road surface condition of the Swedish national road network has been measured by the Laser-RST. All measured data is stored in the PMS database. Today (2000) the paved road network (77,000 km) has been measured several times. A total of approximately 700,000 km has been measured since 1987. All data is stored as 20 m mean values. The prediction model uses time series of roughness and rut depth to predict the future condition. For the covering abstract see ITRD E108018.
