FOLGERUNGEN AUS EUROPAISCHEN F+E-TELEMATIKPROGRAMMEN FUR VERKEHRSLEITSYSTEME IN DEUTSCHLAND [CONCLUSIONS FROM EUROPEAN RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TELEMATICS PROGRAMS FOR TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEMS IN GERMANY]

This report presents a series of conclusions and recommendations for the potential use of traffic control systems in Germany. It presents a review of current projects, describing their objectives, schedule structure, management and financing. Detailed brief reports of the most important European field experiments are presented. Evaluations based on different areas of measurement are described. The report concludes with recommendations for improving traffic databases developing information and control strategies of traffic management measures, and addressing the man machine interface.
