CORRELATIONS BETWEEN MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF HIGH-STRENGTH CONCRETE. DISCUSSION
A discussion of an earlier paper with the aforementioned title by M.A. Rashid et al., published in this journal (Volume 14, Number 3, May/June 2002), is presented. The discussers comment that it is not clear in the original paper whether the data collected from various sources belongs only to plain normal Portland cement concrete (NPC). It can be assumed that the data collected might include not only NPC concrete results, but also concrete containing mineral admixtures. Therefore, this point requires clarification, as it can be disputed that the correlation between mechanical properties of concrete made with and without admixture may differ from each other.
