TRANSPORTATION MODE-CHANGE MODEL TO SPECIAL BUS INCORPORATING GENERALIZED TIME
This study aims to forecast the demand of special bus system to enhance transportation mobility for elderly people, using transportation mode-change model incorporating generalized time. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is as follows: 1) to clarify present bus service problems and examine what elderly people wish on the introduction of Special Bus, 2) to show how to evaluate transportation service by using generalized time and estimate the coefficients of equivalent time coefficient and the value of time reflecting travel effort, and 3) to build the transportation mode-change model to Special Bus with incorporating generalized time model developed above.
