VECAT, THE ULTIMATE TOOL FOR ROAD DATA MAINTENANCE
This paper describes the Vehicle for Collecting Attributes (VECAT) project, an advanced and accurate perception and navigation system dedicated to various applications related to road network management. VECAT focuses on the following topics: 1) hybrid inertial-GPS navigation survey, 2) automatic measurements and analysis of road surface; 3) automatic monitoring of traffic signs; 4) localization of equipment; 5) computer-aided updating of digitized road network; and 6) city and country planning.
