PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE PAVEMENT CONSTRUCTION
This article, authored by members of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Portland Cement Concrete Pavement Construction, provides an overview of the portland cement concrete industry. Discussed are: 20th century developments benefiting the industry, such as the slipform paver and autograder; recent activities, including an industry consortium task force's 5 goals for future needs, and aims determined to be important to the industry in the 21st century by the Innovative Pavement Research Foundation (IPRF); and future priorities.
