This report reviews the proceedings of the one-day symposium on "Operational aspects of constructing highway bridges" held at the Transport and Road Research Laboratory on 24 June 1976. It includes the text of the five papers presented and a record of the discussion on the research being conducted into the ways in which the design and construction of highway bridges and the formulation of associated contractual arrangements can be improved.(a) /TRRL/
