CALCULATION OF LOAD-CARRYING CAPACITY OF THE MOST COMMON GIRDER BRIDGES

This publication presents recommendations for the calculation of load-carrying capacity and Finite Element (FE) modelling of the most common girder bridges. The publication is based on work carried out as a part of the study Strengthening Systems and Calculation Methods of Girder Bridges. The three girder bridge types considered are: 1) reinforced concrete T-girder bridge, 2) reinforced concrete box girder bridge and 3) steel girder bridge with concrete deck.
